In the Summer of 2016 me and Will were saving up to go travelling the world! Like most young adults we were desperate to get out and see the world and all its glory!
Getting the GoPro.
In order to make sure we captured every moment of our adventures it was absolutely vital that we got hold of one of the most hyped cameras of that year and definitely years to come! The GoPro!
Ah yes the GoPro it was all the hype back then and still is now.
We bought our GoPros quite a few months before we went travelling in order to get used to them. First things first filming whilst chucking it in the air for the funniest unfunniest slow motion videos. Then straight to the bath! It was so crazy that we could film under water that even the plain white shine of a bath tub fascinated us for a good hour or two!
But then when we got bored of filming everything we possibly could in the house and stressing the cats out following them round with a camera. we decided to head to our local park! we filmed everything! and I mean everything! we got some amazing landscape pictures and videos from this and using GoPros editing app. we turned what we thought was our run down local park to a natural paradise!
Whilst taking these pictures we realised something, this park is absolutely beaming with wildlife, Squirrels, Ducks, Seagulls, Pigeons, you know, all the common seaside creatures. But we couldn’t see a single Animal in any of our pictures.
We quickly realised that while the GoPro has amazing quality it also has an incredibly wide view without an option to zoom. We were a little gutted but still 100% happy with our purchase.
While out and about we suddenly had a great idea! The GoPro is so small it’s not likely to be off putting to the animals so why not just put it on record and leave it on the floor! Risky business I know!
We stayed a reasonable Distance away from the GoPro, just enough to keep an eye out for anyone looking for a bargain and sure enough within no more than three minutes the curiosity got the better of the Squirrel!
We did it! Granted it’s not hard to get a good picture of a Squirrel as they’re such curious little creatures. They are on you like a rash if they smell anything good.
But these images and our passion for wildlife of all kinds lead us on a mission to continue capturing pictures of animals in this particular style. Vermin or not!
We hope you like our first Post and we hope you continue with us on our journey!
